Girlfriend made brekkie. Really tasty — eggs, mushrooms, kale, with avo and bacon. Super delicious but I think a little fat heavy — I’m seeing some acne pop up on my forehead and I’m wondering if it’s because it’s been a little tough on my system to digest. Feedback I got from my friend Joce was that it needs to be more greens-heavy. I compensated for this later with a big salad.
Made a BIG salad with mixed greens, zucchini, shredded carrots, leftover roasted brussels, quinoa, and hemp seeds. Mixed in some dressing made from ACV, MCT oil, nutritional yeast, coconut aminos, and S&P. Muy delicioso! (side note, I’m also trying to learn Spanish right now). Girlfriend made some salmon which threw off my food combining a little… since I ended up eating animal protein with seeds. But…worth it?
I did a first draft of this post before dinner, and I was doing great… I didn’t even plan on eating dinner, originally. Finished work around 9 pm and found that my roommate and his girlfriend were making PIZZA. And she had very sweetly made me a special gluten-free, dairy-free cauliflower crust pizza. That was full of…nightshades (tomato, peppers). I didn’t have the heart to tell her no. At first, I thought I would just have one piece. The one piece turned into the whole freaking pizza. Oops. I tried to repent by eating extra salad greens…but this whole thing was a wash.
How’d I Do?
Did OK except for the food combining…and PIZA. I’m thinking that I probably need to eat more leafy veggies and also definitely need to get more sleep (I’ve been consistently not getting enough sleep). Last night, I got 6.5 hours, which I know is not enough. I rested once during the day, but never quite got to sleep. I think it’s impacting my skin — definitely seeing bumps on my forehead. Ick! Pizza face, literally.
